Aged Care Physiotherapy

What Is My Aged Care?

My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s gateway to aged care services, helping older Australians access the care and support they need to remain healthy, active, safe and independent in their own homes.

Through government-funded aged care programs, including Support at Home, eligible individuals may receive funding for a range of allied health services, including physiotherapy.

Depending on an individual's assessment, care needs and approved funding, physiotherapy services may include strength and balance training, falls prevention, mobility assessments, pain management, rehabilitation and personalised exercise programs to support independence and improve quality of life.

How Can Physiotherapy Help?

At Brighton Physiotherapy Clinic, our experienced physiotherapists are dedicated to helping older Australians maintain their strength, mobility, confidence and independence through personalised, evidence-based treatment.

Our physiotherapy services can assist with:

✔ Strength & Mobility: Improving muscle strength, flexibility and overall physical function.

✔ Balance & Falls Prevention: Enhancing stability and coordination to reduce the risk of falls.

✔ Pain Management: Managing arthritis, joint stiffness, chronic pain and other musculoskeletal conditions.

✔ Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Supporting recovery following surgery, injury, illness or hospitalisation.

✔ Walking & Mobility: Improving walking ability, movement confidence and assessing mobility aids where appropriate.

✔ Personalised Exercise Programs: Developing tailored exercises to maintain physical fitness, mobility and independence.

✔ Neurological Rehabilitation: Supporting individuals living with neurological conditions such as stroke and Parkinson's disease.

✔ Maintaining Independence: Helping older adults safely perform everyday activities and continue enjoying an active lifestyle.

Whether your goal is to continue gardening, spend time with your grandchildren, walk with greater confidence or remain independent in your own home, our team is committed to helping you maintain your quality of life and continue doing the things you love.
